Antique jewelry encapsulates all of this and more; as it imparts layers of history, memory and untold mysteries to already such charged objects. Moreover, antique jewels often exhibit unparalleled craftsmanship and artisanry. They have spanned lifetimes and have reached us through a chain of ownership and guardianship that we are honored to be part of and to continue.

M. Piper is a long-time collector, student and faithful disciple of antique jewelry. She is consumed by the importance of passing on these wearable pieces of art:

With an eye for both the high and the humble, the beautiful and the bizarre, she focuses primarily on Georgian and Victorian jewels, with a hefty dose of vintage gold for good measure. Collecting Stuart crystals, posy rings, milk teeth, apotropaic talismans, and harlequin jewels, she revels in, and is drawn towards, the sombre, the sentimental and the sensual.
