Double hypnotic whirlpools of crinkled midnight blue form the trademark central stacked and mirrored design of this Queen Anne earring component: trippy sapphire pastes you can get lost in, unbelievably from the mid 18th century, circa 1750.
Little openwork leaves glittering with pyrite studs flank its either side; leading into a later-added gold, bifurcated shank for its now contemporary use as a finger ring.
Delicate, pointy ridged sawtooth settings beautifully and precisely rim the edges of each of the two glassy, oval cobalt discs.
Rare, exceedingly old at just under 300 years, and with a new lease on life, it is in very good antique, converted condition with evidences of such. It is a size 8.5
