Gleaming, wide and romantic, in the richest shade of true butter yellow, this antique 19th century French Provincial ring catches the light and eye with every movement; and without making use of a single gemstone.
Fully constructed of 18k gold and originally crafted as an engagement ring, this piece has been modeled in the ancient, archetypal "fede" symbol of union of two hands clasping: In this iteration, a flat, two dimensional pair of hands, with scored ruffs at the wrists, hold a deeply puffed heart; surmounted by a halo of raised, round dots representative of a crown. Love's union reigns supreme.
Also known as a "bague de foi" or "faith ring," this is a highly traditional regional stylization---down to the lack of diamonds as the tradition of the diamond engagement ring was not prevalent in France prior to the second half of the 19th century.
In immaculate antique condition. The heart and crown bezel measures 14.55mm by 9mm. It is a size 5, fitting slightly snugger thanks to the thick, wide shank. The ring weighs a considerable 5.5 grams.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 3 days of delivery date. Item must be shipped within one week of my written confirmation of the return or exchange and its subsequent details. Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility. Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped. Any customs/tariffs/import fees/taxes incurred in the purchase are similarly the buyer's responsibility.
Should the buyer fail to pick up the package or provide a correct address for its shipment and it is then subsequently returned to me, there will be a restocking fee of up to 10% to be deducted from the refund. If reshipment is desired, it is available at the buyer's cost.
