Antique Art Deco Oval Opal and Diamond Mount Dinner Ring in 18k White Gold c. 1920, Cluster, 1900's, Belle Epoque, Diamonds, Surround, HaloEdwardian, Cluster

A late 1920’s Art Deco dinner ring of 18k white gold comprised of an elegant and ornate wide diamond encrusted mount with an iridescently colorful and lovely elongated jelly bean of an opal, set delicately in place by fine, pointed prongs. The backside and gallery of the piece is beautiful, with looping and swirling designs to the verso and a thoughtful backside slit to the setting of the opal, to highlight the stone’s maximum light and visual interest.

In very good antique condition. A small defect in this ring comes in the form of a chip to one long-side of the opal which, happily, is quite really very well camouflaged by the color play of the opal, as well as the inward vertical design of the shoulder at the middle of the bezel. It does not detract terribly from the beauty of the piece and is in a serendipitous location, echoing the small charms of the incomplete and impermanent so often seen in antiques. Also of note, one prong in a separate location is shorter and less pointy. 

This is a great piece for someone who isn’t bothered by the small imperfections of what is truly an eye catching ring, or has always eyed one of these big glittering dinner rings, as the condition is reflected in the price. Help me save this ring in all original condition, small chip and all! It could also alternatively be a good project piece, as the mounting and setting is absolutely lovely. It is a 6-6.25 in size.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 3 days of delivery date. Item must be shipped within one week of my written confirmation of the return or exchange and its subsequent details. Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility. Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped.
