Antique Edwardian Harlequin Wreath Brooch c. 1910, Circle, Garland, Circlet, Round, Multi-Gemstone, 1900's, Belle Epoque

A tiny round rainbow, circa 1910: This small, circular bejeweled wreath brooch from the Edwardian era is light, bright and joyful. Its circlet form was a quite popular design for pins around the turn of the century; with this particular example comprised of a mirrored arrangement of pearl, emerald, white sapphire, ruby, tigers eye, sapphire and turquoise. This visually pleasing combination of gems are set open backed for maximum light and vibrancy in deep, clawed settings of 9k yellow gold. It is in excellent, working condition. The bale at the top is a later addition. It measures 19mm in diameter, and weighs 2.6 grams.
