Antique Edwardian Pair of Playful Monkeys Bar Brooch Set with "Diamond" Paste Rounds & Faux Pearls in Silver, Figural, Art Deco, Pin, 1900's

A fun, figural, turn of the century silver Edwardian brooch; crafted as a playful pair of monkeys. One sits atop the bar, and is studded to the front with clear paste "diamond" rounds; while his companion hangs freely from a chain and is fully pave set throughout his form with these glittering glass gemstones.

Their capricious eyes flash green from tiny little cabochons tactfully placed in their friendly faces. 

The long, horizontal bar, the minimalist base of the design, is finished off to either end with a small cream colored faux pearl. 

Novelty was the name of the game during a good portion of the Victorian and Edwardian era, while stickpins and pins from these time periods are well renowned for their whimsy and exercises of fantasy in miniature. 

From the first quarter of the 20th century. Ready to keep you company during any little escapade or brighten up any dull corner of the universe.

In excellent antique condition. The bar and chain are gold toned base metal. It measures 1.25 inch in width, and hangs at a drop of 3.25 inches in length. The brooch weighs 9 grams.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 3 days of delivery date. Item must be shipped within one week of my written confirmation of the return or exchange and its subsequent details. Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility. Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped. Any customs/tariffs/import fees/taxes incurred in the purchase are similarly the buyer's responsibility.

Should the buyer fail to pick up the package or provide a correct address for its shipment and it is then subsequently returned to me, there will be a restocking fee of up to 10% to be deducted from the refund. If reshipment is desired, it is available at the buyer's cost.
