Antique Georgian Deeply Chased One Cut Split Ring in Yellow 15k Gold c 1830, Jump, Connector, Charm Holder, Extender, Finding, Bolt, Clip, 1800s
A deeply chased, knife edged Georgian jump ring with a single vertical split down the middle, designed to make it easy to gently pull apart and slide charms on and off. The carved motif is exhibited on both sides, covering the ring’s thick entirety; and is a distinct yet abstract decidedly floral, botanical theme. This versatile and useful connector has been crafted of rich, true yellow 15k gold and is in excellent working condition. It also doubles nicely as a stacking ring! And even looks great on a chain all by itself, either as an extender or pendant. An indispensable component of any collection with endless possibilities to the creative eye. It measures 22mm in diameter from outside edge to outside edge, and weighs 1.8 grams. It sits at just barely a ring size 6 on the mandrel. Circa 1830.
