Antique Georgian Flat Cut Garnet & Marcasite Double Halo Cluster Ring in 9k Gold c. 1800, Target, 1800's, Oval, Round, Foiled, Close Backed

A circa 1800 Georgian cluster ring, built outwards from a central, oval-cut garnet through alternating rings of gemstones: On the outermost edge, a surround of flat cut garnets, followed by an innermost surround of small marcasite studs. The garnets flash a deep, red wine burgundy, catching the light at every movement on their smooth surface. The middle halo of marcasite beads are faceted and pyramidal in shape, creating lovely flickerings of bright silver and white. Three thin bands of gold make up the shank, coalescing into a grooved, trifurcated shoulders lead into a sturdy grooved shank. Modeled in 9k gold, it is very good antique condition with one outer garnet replaced. Size 7
