A ghostly and ethereally beautiful small French Georgian verre églomisé brooch in 14k yellow gold depicting two flaming hearts upon a plinth, signaling and symbolizing eternal love. Either romantic or mourning in nature, this piece is unmistakably sentimental and full of romanticism and emotion. Beautifully rendered, with the gilding and blackened textural details flashing beautifully atop a powder blue background. The finely beaded frame is another lovely feature. Circa 1800. In excellent working antique condition.
