A rare and delightful Georgian paste finger ring comprised of an electrictrified, almost neon, aquamarine solitaire paste, set east to west, closed back, in the Rococo style and 22k gold. While the Rococo setting and construction is not atypical for the era, (in fact the forked sculpted shoulders, rayed verso, and notched shoulders was a very widespread and popular design across Europe stylistically speaking;) the vivid color and large size of the paste along with high karat content of the gold is eye-catching and noteworthy. The aquamarine paste is set in chubby cut-down collets and is backed by a highly reflective foil. Circa 1760. In excellent condition. There is evidence to the shank of prior resizing(s), and a very small speck of tarnish to the metal foiling to one far side of the stone. Of no consequence to its beauty. It is a size 5.5 and weighs 2.3 grams.
