Though the hand-cut, black dot paste diamonds adorning the front of this silver set Georgian medallion pendant have ice clear clarity, they flash on the warmer side with a distinctive golden, sunny yellow gleam.
So many facets, reflections, and shapes jam packed into the boundaries of its scalloped, curvy edges.
Paste jewelry simply does not get better than this pristine example: Note the masterful concentric configuration of the gems, the tight, hand-cut fit between each and every stone; and finally the very visible and desirable applied black culets which tidily and precisely mimic & denote the bottom tips of each "diamond."
In immaculate antique condition. The pendant measures 29.5mm in diameter, and weighs a nicely hefty 11 grams.
