Antique Georgian Male Lover's Eye Pendant with Faceted Graduated Onyx Halo in 10k Rose Gold & Hair Locket to the Reverse, Sentimental, 1800s

A romantic & sentimental lover’s eye miniature pendant in watercolor surrounded by a halo of sparkling midnight-black onyx dating to the first half of the 19th century. To the reverse, a locket of plaited light brown hair and a brooch fitting for extra wearability.

What stands out in this piece, besides the high-quality craftsmanship and untouched condition, is the fact that the gaze appears to be male. The painting depicts a thick, dark raised eyebrow, in a slightly quizzical look, over a left gray-blue eye. Notice how the eyebrow even seems to be slightly scarred, with a small patch left hairless. All details and corporeal expressions of the lover’s body and physical form that would have been dear & familiar to the wearer

In pristine antique condition. It measures 31mm in height, including the beautifully decorated bale, and 23mm in width at its widest point. It weighs 5.4 grams.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 3 days of delivery date. Item must be shipped within one week of my written confirmation of the return or exchange and its subsequent details. Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility. Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped. Any customs/tariffs/import fees/taxes incurred in the purchase are similarly the buyer's responsibility.

Should the buyer fail to pick up the package or provide a correct address for its shipment and it is then subsequently returned to me, there will be a restocking fee of up to 10% to be deducted from the refund. If reshipment is desired, it is available at the buyer's cost.
