A supremely striking Georgian mourning ring with very fine enamel work in black, gold, and whit--depicting a funereal urn atop a plinth, all fashioned of 9k yellow gold. The plinth's golden structure is scored with fine lines and is studded with a central, convex bubble compartment under which plaits of blondish white hair have been preserved. The trifurcated shoulders feature a wide twisting central design, and lead into a multi-ribbed shank. To the reverse, an inscription dated 1810.

The ring is in very good antique condition, with some minor age-appropriate abrasions to both the enameled bezel and glass compartment. The glass, under high magnification, has one small nibble. The hair is in excellent condition, though dotted with some minor debris under magnifications, and a very interesting color of hair for the deceased, a woman of 85. It is a size 7.5

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 3 days of delivery date. Item must be shipped within one week of my written confirmation of the return or exchange and its subsequent details. Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility. Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped. Any customs/tariffs/import fees/taxes incurred in the purchase are similarly the buyer's responsibility. Should the buyer fail to pick up the package or provide a correct address for its shipment and it is then subsequently returned to me, there will be a restocking fee of up to 10% to be deducted from the refund.
