Originally a brooch, this earthy, honey colored agate cabochon has been converted in modernity to an oversized and striking charm. The agate specimen has wonderful depth and clarity; having been set open-back for maximum transparency and optical interest within a border of charming cut down collets in 10k rose gold. The clouds of dark, inky brown emerging from the agate's tan depths create both definition and haziness; form a striking and unusual "X" outline to the stone's front. Upon close inspection, these segments of chocolate brown taper off in little dendrite tendrils, curling and seeping from the edges. In bright light, the yellows and tans of the stone appear beautifully striated. In excellent antique condition. The pendant measures 2" in length and slightly less than 1" width.
