Antique Star Sapphire Cluster Ring with Double Halos of Ruby Pastes and Diamond Chips with Pierced Floral Verso in Silver and 18k Gold, Georgian, Victorian

A large, unusual and intoxicatingly beautiful 19th century cluster ring, with a central pale blue star sapphire, and double concentric halos: one of bright pink ruby pastes, the other of twinkling diamond chips. The star sapphire at the center of this idiosyncratic and anachronistic piece lights up pale lavender blue in lower lights, to a clear cerulean blue in brighter light. A fascinating weak, spidery asterism can also be observed reflecting from the stone in this latter state, and at just the right angles. The reverse, crafted of 18k gold, is an incredible raised and pierced golden gallery in a delicate swirling floral design. The golden botanical theme continues to the shoulders, which are modeled as little finely striated leaves, and lead into a notched and segmented shank. The large oval sapphire, which has wonderful transparency, has been placed in little golden sawtooth settings; while both of the halos have been set in silver.  Ethereally, astrally beautiful. 

In pristine, untouched antique condition. An absolutely exquisite work of wearable art. It is a size 5.25 and weighs 8.8 grams.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 3 days of delivery date. Item must be shipped within one week of my written confirmation of the return or exchange and its subsequent details. Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility.

Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped. Any customs/tariffs/import fees/taxes incurred in the purchase are similarly the buyer's responsibility. Should the buyer fail to pick up the package or provide a correct address for its shipment and it is then subsequently returned to me, there will be a restocking fee of up to 10% to be deducted from the refund. If reshipment is desired, it is available at the buyer's cost.
