Antique Victorian Carved Jet and Pearl Pansy Dangle Earrings in 14k Gold, Pansies, Flower, Memorial, Mourning, Drop, Pense a Moi

A pair of hand-carved antique Victorian whitby jet earrings featuring bright half-pearls at the center of four glossy, black petals affixed to a pair of kidney wires, circa 1890. With a sleek, clean almost modern quality that Victorian jewelry can often exhibit, these earrings are easy to wear and easy to love. Understated yet striking; darkly sentimental.

The jet flowers themselves are in very good antique condition, with no chips or nicks to speak of. The small hinge and kidney wire hoops appear to have been replaced at one point, clearly patched onto the gold backing with surrounding old solder marks. Perfectly secure and in working order, each hooks well into the bottom, original c-clasp. The total length of the earring's drop is about 24mm. The flowers measure around 15mm in diameter.

Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility. Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped.
