Wonderfully chubby and chunky, this carved and double sided Victorian jet locket may have originally been a mourning jewel, but has much additional charm and use than this once potential intended purpose.
Ready to house new miniature mementos in its metal frame with the original cardboard, fabric and one glass insert still intact; one side shows a finely rendered shield inside a diamond-shape, atop a duo of multi-textured backgrounds.
The other side has been mostly left plain, besides a thick scalloped framing bordering the edges and encircling an oval center.
In good antique condition. It is in perfect working order, and there is a chip near the opening clasp. It measures 1.25 inches by 1 inch, excluding the bale, and weighs 12.4 grams.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 3 days of delivery date. Item must be shipped within one week of my written confirmation of the return or exchange and its subsequent details. Return shipping must be insured and will be the buyer's responsibility. Items must be received in the same condition as sold/shipped. Any customs/tariffs/import fees/taxes incurred in the purchase are similarly the buyer's responsibility.
Should the buyer fail to pick up the package or provide a correct address for its shipment and it is then subsequently returned to me, there will be a restocking fee of up to 10% to be deducted from the refund. If reshipment is desired, it is available at the buyer's cost.
